💡 Services Tips for Veterans
- Telecom Military Discounts: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and most carriers offer 15–25% off monthly plans for active duty and veterans. Call customer service and ask — they often don't advertise it prominently.
- Vehicle Registration Fee Waivers: Many states waive or discount vehicle registration fees for veterans, especially those with service-connected disabilities. Check your state DMV website.
- Free Legal Help from JAG: Active duty, retirees, and their families can get free legal consultations — wills, powers of attorney, landlord disputes, consumer issues — from JAG offices on military installations.
- Free Tax Filing: Military OneSource provides free federal and state tax filing through MilTax for active duty, Guard/Reserve, and recently separated veterans. VITA sites on installations offer free in-person tax prep.
- VA Service Dog Vet Care: If your service dog was provided by the VA, the VA covers the dog's veterinary care as well. Keep your documentation and use VA-approved veterinary providers.
